deep sea science has to overcome many technical challenges in experimental design and in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data. there are many mathematical and computational tools that can assist deep sea scientists and engineers. each tool has its own strengths and limitations. by understanding the properties of the problem and data, carefully selecting the right tools and applying them well, applied mathematics adds robustness to data analysis and conclusions. besides being valuable to many scientific fields, mathematics is a beautiful subject.

2011年从事法律诉讼案件的顾问,提供统计分析依据。2012年-2015年在德克萨斯a&m大学的量子科学与工程研究所进行量子光学和自旋表示方面的研究。2017年进入美国nec实验室从事传感器网络的设计、建设、安装、数据采集和时序数据分析等工作。

he has done statistical analysis for legal conflicts. he has worked in quantum optics and spin representations with the texas a&m university’s institute for quantum science and engineering. at nec laboratories america he worked on sensor network design, construction, deployment, data acquisition and analysis of time series data.
he finds many branches of pure mathematics very beautiful, and enjoys their application to practical science and engineering problems. algebra is beautiful in itself and it also has very important uses in coding data, such as error-correcting codes for data transmission, storage and retrieval.
